How One Innovator Became an Industry Leader
Success comes in many different shapes and forms. However, all success stories have one thing in common: a unique and telling journey to the top.
Monica Eaton-Cardone is no exception. Her accomplishments and experiences have served as inspiration to many.
Monica Eaton-Cardone: The Early Years
Whether as a student, employee or business leader, Monica Eaton-Cardone has always pushed to challenge convention and limitations. Today, Monica is a successful entrepreneur, executive, IT professional, public speaker and philanthropist—however, the journey to arrive at this point involved years of work and determination.
From an early age, Monica Eaton-Cardone demonstrated her tremendous drive to succeed. She started taking odd jobs at just 12 years old and graduated high school at age 16. Monica attended University of Idaho, studied art and architecture, and founded her first company, Resort Furnishings, at the age of 20.
Identifying a Need, Filling a Void
Over the next decade, Monica created and managed several different business ventures across the country. Eventually, her own experiences as an online merchant led her in an entirely new direction. When chargebacks and fraud losses jeopardised her ecommerce operations, Monica looked for an effective solution. However, the only options available at the time were automated, ineffective and unspecified. In response to these failings, Monica took action.
Looking at a difficult situation and seeing in it the seed of opportunity, Monica created Chargebacks911™ and Global Risk Technologies™ in 2009. Since then, she has brought her trademarked solutions to the global market, transforming both ventures into multimillion-euro operations in just a few short years.
An Inspirational Female Leader
Besides her business interests, Monica also works extensively with different charitable groups. Her own program, Get Paid for Grades, is a scholarship and grant program for K-3 and high school students in the Tampa Bay area. Get Paid for Grades provides educational scholarships, tutoring, and college and job readiness training.
Additionally, Monica Eaton-Cardone served as a tutor for The Community Learning Center, eventually advancing to president of the non-profit organisation. She’s also volunteered for Make-a-Wish foundation, Pinellas Education Foundation, Kiwanis, and the Clearwater Development Board.
Monica currently serves as the CIO of Global Risk Technologies™ and COO of Chargebacks911™. She lives in Clearwater, Florida, along with her husband, Chargebacks911™ CEO Gary Cardone, and their two daughters.
In her spare time, Monica enjoys playing basketball, volleyball and tennis, as well as cooking, hiking and playing with her family.
